Southern Star Cares is excited to announce the finalists for the 2025 grant program. Congratulations to the following organizations for advancing to the final stage!  

Tier 1 – $2,500 – $10,000

Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club 

Tier 2 – $10,001 – $39,999 
HL Neblett Community Center 
Dream Riders 
Knottsville Fire Department 

Tier 3 – $40,000 – $50,000

Grant recipients will be named the week of December 16. Recipients will be chosen based on the information provided in their applications, a review by the Southern Star Cares Board of Directors, team member focus groups and a vote from employee donors who contributed to the organization’s fundraising campaign.  

Southern Star Cares grants are funded by our team members. Last year, Southern Star team members pledged more than $120,000. All funds raised by Southern Star Cares go directly towards funding our grant recipients, with no administrative fees or deductions.  

This year’s grant application window opened on August 11 and ran through September 8. Any tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization serving Daviess County, Kentucky was eligible to apply.
