
Southern Star’s team-led nonprofit organization, Southern Star Cares, is proud to announce the kickoff of its 2026 grant application campaign, supporting nonprofit organizations that make a meaningful difference in communities across Southern Star’s footprint.
Grant applications will be accepted beginning Monday, August 10, 2026.
For Daviess County, KY, nonprofits, grants will be awarded in three tiers: $2,500-10,000, $10,000-25,000, and $25,000-50,000. The application link, along with more information about the process, will be available at southernstarcares.org on August 10.
Nonprofit organizations in Kansas, Missouri, Wyoming and Oklahoma are nominated by Southern Star Cares donors. For more information the grant application in your community, visit southernstar.com/southern-star-cares/.
Southern Star Cares’ grants are funded through contributions from Southern Star team members. In 2025, the organization awarded more than $235,000 to nonprofit organizations. All funds raised through the campaign will go directly to grant recipients, with no administrative fees or deductions.

The 2026 application window will remain open until Friday, September 4, 2026.
Grant finalists will be announced the week of November 16, 2026, while winners will be announced during the week of December 16, 2026. Grant recipients are selected through a comprehensive review process that includes evaluation by the Southern Star Cares Board of Directors, team member focus groups, and a final vote from team member donors who contribute to the campaign.
