Southern Star releases 2023 Corporate Responsibility Report
Southern Star published its 2023 Corporate Responsibility Report today, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and transparency. The report discloses new data and analysis aligned with established frameworks to articulate Southern Star’s strong safety performance, progress on emissions reductions, and focus on supporting team members, among other stakeholder priorities.
Accomplishments highlighted include:
- 0 Lost Time Incidents
- 48% decrease in methane emissions since 2020
- 26% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions since 2020
- 11,442 hours volunteered by employees
- $342,274 invested in the community
“This report expands upon previous reports to bring our stakeholders more information about our vision, our operations, and our team,” said Shawn Patterson, President & Chief Executive Officer of Southern Star. “Southern Star is very intentional about our vision, which is to be one community working safely together to provide clean and reliable energy for tomorrow. We are taking a comprehensive approach to energy while working to reduce our operational emissions, explore innovation, and assess new energy markets.”
