Update: Southern Star continues response efforts to pipeline strike in Terlton, OK
Pawnee County, Oklahoma – At approximately 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning, Southern Star responded to a pipeline strike that occurred along S 36800 Road in Terlton, Oklahoma.
Southern Star immediately activated its emergency response plan and worked with local first responders to set up a perimeter to ensure safety for everyone at the site. As a further precaution, a nearby landowner was evacuated.
A fire that ignited as a result of the event has since been extinguished. Local fire departments assisting the event have left the scene.
A contractor was treated on scene for a minor injury and released. Safey is a top priority and all personnel on site were promptly accounted for and no further injuries were reported.
Our team is well trained to handle pipeline emergencies. Service to Southern Star customers has not been affected by this event. The cause of the event is currently under investigation.
