“Our team was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support local nonprofits in our inaugural campaign last year,” said Rita Daming, President of Southern Star Cares and Reliability Analyst at Southern Star.  “Seeing that positive impact makes us that much more excited to kick off the 2024 campaign.”

The grant application period begins Monday, August 12, and is open through Friday, September 6. Grant finalists will be announced the week of November 14, and grant recipients will be named the week of December 16.

Grant recipients will be chosen based on the information provided on their applications, a review by the Southern Star Cares Board of Directors, team member focus groups, and a vote from employee donors who contributed to the Southern Star Cares fundraising campaign.

“By working together, we can help build a brighter future in our community,” said Daming.
