Southern Star responding to pipeline strike in Terlton, Oklahoma

Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, Inc.

Pawnee County, Oklahoma – Southern Star is currently responding to a line strike that occurred Saturday morning along S 36800 Road in Terlton, Oklahoma.

Southern Star immediately activated its emergency response plan and is currently investigating the event.

Safety is our top focus and our teams are working with local first responders to extinguish a fire that ignited as result of the event. A contractor on site sustained a minor injury and has since been treated and released. All personnel on site have been accounted for and no other injuries have been reported.

As a safety precaution, a nearby landowner has been evacuated. No other evacuations are expected at this time.

Our team is well trained to handle pipeline emergencies. At this time, service to Southern Star customers has not been affected by this event.

Southern Star would like to thank local first responders for their assistance in responding to the event and setting up a perimeter to ensure the upmost safety in responding further to the event. Our team members are committed to supporting local agencies to ensure the safety of our team, contractors, and local communities.
